Penelope Gilbert Ng
"Figures with a story"
Master Pastellist Penelope Gilbert Ng shows us the elements needed to create a story in our artwork with figures – the importance of story, of tone, the freedom to adjust composition and colours to suit the artist (eg move fence posts, change angles). Penelope always creates a thumbnail to sort out tones and composition and keeps a record of what pigments or pastels are used.
Live Monthly Demos (Qld Only)
All Demos listed here are for Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
Please also note that an entry fee of $5 for members and $10 for non-members will be collected at the entrance to each meeting either by cash or QR code/credit card.
There are 10 meetings each year with no meetings in January and December.
What To Expect:

Each meeting features an inspiring demonstration or interactive activity led by experienced pastel artists or guest presenters.
Raffles
Add some excitement to your visit with the chance to win cash and art-related prizes in our raffle draws or lucky door prizes!
Critiques
Bring along your pastel work for friendly and constructive feedback from fellow members and experienced artists. A great opportunity to learn and grow!
Light Refreshments
Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee (Bring your own cup!) while mingling with fellow artists during the session.
