ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marilyn’s artistic journey commenced when she was a child helping her busy mum make most of the clothes for their large family. She has always dabbled in the fabric arts including teaching patchwork and quilting for 10 years. She was one of the first tutors at the newly formed Strathfield Evening College at Strathfield in Sydney and at Mayes Cottage at Woodridge in Queensland and also taught privately from her own home. She achieved a 2nd prize at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney for her very first quilt.
